Jakub Brabenec, born in 2003, is a forward selected by Vegas in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. Standing 6'1" and weighing 190 pounds, Brabenec shoots left and completed his third professional season in North America in 2025-26. In 62 regular-season games with Henderson, he recorded 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points and a +4 rating. Following the conclusion of the season, he returned to Czechia, signing a two-year contract with HC Kometa Brno in May 2026.
Brabenec was previously the QMJHL Rookie of the Year in 2021-22 while playing for the Charlottetown Islanders. His technical profile includes advanced anticipation and the ability to find open passing lanes before receiving the puck.
