Mathieu Cataford, born in 2005, is a center taken by Vegas in the third round (77th overall) of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Listed at 6'0" and 200 pounds, he spent the 2025-26 season with the Henderson Silver Knights, where he managed 3 goals and 10 assists for 13 points across 59 games with a -19 rating.
Cataford arrived in Henderson after a high-scoring junior career with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL. His first full professional season was a difficult adjustment, and he will look to re-establish his offensive game in 2026-27.
